The Pleasure Room by D.N. Simmons

The Pleasure RoomThe Pleasure Room by D.N. Simmons
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Felicity was looking for her big break. As a journalist, she had to go where the story leads, but when the current big story led to a private BDSM club, Felicity soon realized she may have gotten in over her head. In the beginning of the book Felicity seemed to know what she wanted out of her life and was resolved to get it. However, the author gave her room to grow and change, which is always a great thing to be able to see in a story. Together with her best friend, Allison, there were a lot of fun moments in the story. And of course there was Alistair...He was everything a dom should be - sexy, dominant, demanding, but he knew where to draw the line. Oh, and did I mention the accent? Swoon. The chemistry between the characters in this story was fabulous. There were some great relationships, which helped tie the whole story together.

The story itself was quite engaging with a great story line, plot twists included. The outcome wasn't obvious halfway though the book, which is always a plus. The author paid attention to detail and didn't skimp on anything! I enjoyed this story and will be looking for more work from this author.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

One Less Warlock by Judith Post

One Less Warlock by Judith Post My rating: 4 of 5 stars I think it's hard in a short story to create a unique setting, characters, etc., and still get some sort of story line in. In One Less Warlock, Judith did an excellent job of molding the story in such a way that we got a taste of a distinct world and character personalities, and a complete story to go with it. In this short story Judith was able to pack in witches, vampires, a sexy Were, succubus, voodoo, murder, and mystery, all in only about 20 pages. Pretty amazing. I enjoyed the story and Babet, the main character, and am looking forward to more of her in the future. View all my reviews
