Redemption by C.J. Barry

Redemption (Soul, #1)Redemption by C.J. Barry
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Redemption by C.J. Barry as its name states is the story of redemption. Can a soul no matter how depraved be redeemed? Reya Sinclair's duty as a Redeemer of Souls is to confront the most vile of sinners and give them a chance at redemption before they die. She will leave a string of dead bodies in her wake that will catch the attention of Thane Driscoll, a paranormal detective. He is sent to investigate these unexplained deaths. Reya and Thane will develop an uneasy partnership to overcome the darkness that is spreading across the city. Will they be able to stop it?

Reya and Thane were both strong characters who strived to do the right thing. I liked watching their characters develop as the story unfolded. While I enjoyed most aspects of this story, the description of light and dark energy and different dimensions confused me. Overall it was an interesting read.
