Exquisite Betrayal by A.M. Hargrove My rating: 4 of 5 stars Off to Vegas for the Wicked Wenches Romance Con (um, yes anyone?), Fallon not only gets to meet her fellow bloggers for the first time but also one of her favorite authors, R.T. Sinclair. But things don't go quite as Fallon had hoped and at the end of the weekend she finds herself stranded in Vegas with no money, no ID, and no way home. Sounds like a good time to me. Luckily (or maybe not), Fallon goes home with Ryland, the sexy guy she met in Vegas, until she can get things straightened out and can get herself back home. Fallon was hilarious. She is smart and sassy, even if she does not always make the best decisions. Ryland is seriously sexy, and an overall good guy. The best thing about the characters is that they made mistakes, sometimes big ones. They were not perfect, but they were good together, and the chemistry between the two is smoking hot. There were a lot of ups and downs in the story, an emotio

Deadly Obsession by Kristine Cayne

Deadly Obsession by Kristine Cayne My rating: 4 of 5 stars I'm a sucker for books about celebrities, covert love affairs, and creepy deadly stalkers. It's probably not healthy, but hey, what can I say? I purchased this book over a year ago after first reading Deadly Addictions (Deadly Vices #2), and I have no idea why I put off reading it for so long. Just so you know, these books can be read as stand-alone stories. As mentioned, I read #2 in the series without having read #1 and had no problem jumping into the stories, the characters, etc. However, I'm glad I finally have some of the back story on the characters who are in both books. So about Deadly Obsession…Lauren is a single mom who is still trying to get over the loss of her husband years before. She is struggling to find her place in the world and start her career. She is strong and passionate, and she cares deeply for her friends and family. Nic is your seemingly typical playboy celebrity type. He lik

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by A.N. Roquelaure

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by A.N. Roquelaure My rating: 2 of 5 stars I am a fairly new fan of dark erotica. I knew going into this story that it was not going to be a fun and fluffy fairytale, but it still sounded interesting to me. It was not bad, but just okay in my opinion. I think the biggest struggle for me was that the story never really went anywhere. There seemed to be no main objective other than the prince rescuing the princess, which happened in the first chapter. Other than that it was quite repetitive. Additionally, the characters were very one dimensional. The way the story was written there was no real chance to get into their heads, to get to know them. For me, that is what makes the story. Overall, the story just did not catch my interest and I do not wish to read the rest of the series. View all my reviews
